On the tiny island of Timor, located to the north of Australia, over 7000 small farmers work to provide Organic Timor Fair Trade coffee. Gourmet coffee from Timor is unique because virtually all the farmers grow organic coffee. Since the coffee is grown on small farms, the farmers have banded together into 16 cooperatives and 494 small-scale farmers groups to improve production capacity.
Timor coffee beans are harvested during the North American summer and exported during the autumn, thus the beans are freshly imported during our highest coffee drinking periods.
A cup of Organic Timor coffee is spicy and herbal, with good acidity and excellent body. The medium roast mild body finishes with a smooth consistency and a sweet hint of syrup and dark chocolate.
